The PTA will have a General Meeting on Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at 3:30 at Pearson Early Childhood School. This will be a short business meeting. All members and the general public are welcome to attend.

Calling All Volunteers

The school year is drawing to a close and the End of Year Parties are fast approaching. We need your help to make them a success. The parties will take place on May 30 at 9:00 and 1:15 respectively. Please contact Naomi at nhcalle@pacbell.net or 214.383.2670 if you are interested in helping. Volunteers will be assigned to a station to help run while the students rotate through the party. Please make plans to help and be sure to get volunteer clearance at www.pisd.edu/volunteer. Mark Pearson as the campus you want to volunteer at.

School Supplies

Are you returning to Pearson for next year? Take a break from shopping for school supplies and purchase your school supply pack from the Pearson PTA for $30. We will take care of getting all of the necessary supplies and delivering them to your child's class at the beginning of next school year. Order forms are available in the office.

Cell Phone Use

Please refrain from using your cell phone when dropping off or picking up your child. A driver using a cell phone is more likely to be distracted, whether they are using a hand held or a hands-free set. Let's err on the side of safety for everyone involved. The Pearson staff appreciates your cooperation.

Safety Reminders

Please hold your child's hand when you are walking to/from school. It is very busy at arrival and dismissal and we want your child to be safe.
Do not leave your child or siblings in the car unattended if you need to come in the building.
Please drive carefully as you approach the car pool lane.

Hello Pearson Families,

Welcome back! It has been an awesome start to the school year! At the Meet the Teacher event we had a chance to get to meet many of you and we are so glad to see so many new faces as well as out wonderful returning families. We encourage you to get involved in PTA-your children love to see you at their school helping out We realize not everyone can help during the day. There will be opportunities to help in the evenings from time to time as well as donating food to luncheons for teachers and staff. We highly encourage everyone to become a PTA member by paying their dues of $11.50. You should have received the PTA enrollment form in your first day packet. If you have misplaced it - let us know and we will send another one home. We are looking forward to working with all of you to support out students and our wonderful Pearson staff! Please plan to attend the Pearson picnic and PTA general meeting on Thursday, September 15 at 6:00 p.m. - we will be celebrating the 10th anniversary of Pearson.
